New Horizons for Seniors Program

Saskatchewan Seniors Association Inc. (SSAI) is pleased to announce that we have received funding under the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program for our project Expanding Seniors’ Community Connections.

This federal grants and contributions program supports projects that are led or inspired by seniors who are making a difference in the lives of others in their communities.

The funds will be used by SSAI to offer free virtual one-on-one technology support sessions, volunteer training, and a series of twelve Digital Literacy Workshops via Zoom.  It is important to support seniors living in rural or remote areas in Saskatchewan promoting digital literacy skills using technology to connect to a broader community.

SSAI has partnered with Connected Canadians, a digital inclusion charity who offers free technology support and training to older adults across Canada. Whether it’s learning how to use a new device, understanding online safety, or simply staying connected with loved ones, Connected Canadian’s bilingual technology mentors are here to provide patient, personalized support, remotely and free of charge.

Register yourself or a loved one today  or call toll free 1-877-304-5813.

Thanks to the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program for the funding support provided to Saskatchewan Seniors Association Inc to make this programming possible. It will make a significant difference in the lives of seniors in our community.
