Many seniors who retire want to simply “enjoy life with no responsibilities . . maybe just hobbies”; however, some others do enjoy volunteering in many different capacities to make the community a better place. They too, want to enjoy retirement. The problem that occurs is that there are too few senior volunteers to fill all the volunteer tasks involved in keeping communities vibrant, dynamic and rich with social and physical activities. The challenge facing SSAI is that the active ones are getting older, and many of the “young seniors” don’t want to get involved in seniors’ advocacy.
There is another way that some seniors can assist without volunteering. The support that can be provided is through small donations to enable clubs, organizations to carry on with programs for everyone’s benefit. You might be one of these seniors. A little donation can make a big difference in assisting the club or the organization representing seniors.
Together, we can make a difference! SSAI is Working for seniors, to bring seniors together in one strong, non-partisan, non-racial, non-sectarian organization that will work for the welfare of all seniors in Saskatchewan. It is the sincere wish that all seniors in Canada might become united into one strong voice for the betterment of all.
You can become part of the collective voice for seniors by making a donation or bequest to help ensure that SSAI has the resources needed to ensure Senior Living is provided with Dignity for Living
- Donations from members and individuals to SSAI. Cheques would have to be mailed to:
Shannon Wright, SSAI Secretary/Treasurer

- Similarly bequests can be made to SSAI. The legacy of individuals and members helping maintain the quality of life for seniors in general is a method of “paying it forward”. Again bequests would be mailed to:
